John Bigenwald's passion has been sports since first lacing up a pair of skates at five years old. Through the years he has played, coached or officiated nearly every game that keeps score.

John's interest in photography stems from his sports passion. His natural gift for capturing action and drama is enhanced by his love for the sports he covers.

myMVPpix.com might never have happened and John's photography could have been limited to his family's photo albums if not for a neighbor. John had been taking pictures for his children's swim team. He posted them to Flickr and the kids and parents loved them.

Although he got great feedback from the parents and kids, John didn't think much about the pictures until a neighbor rushed up to him at the season ending swim meet. He asked "Were you taking pictures? I had my camera ready at the start and when she finished I still had it ready, but I didn't take any pictures." John knew he could keep other parents from the same fate.
